Russia deploys new S-71K 'Kover' missile in Ukraine

Russia has begun using a new S-71K “Kover” cruise missile in strikes against Ukraine.

Axar.az informs, citing Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate, the missile was developed by Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation and is designed to be launched from Su-57 fighter jets.

The missile, weighing 250 kg, is equipped with an OFAB-250-270 high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb. Three fuel tanks allow it to reach a range of up to 300 kilometers.

It was noted that the S-71K “Kover” was first used in late 2025.
