16 killed in fire at care home in Chile

At least 16 people have died after a huge fire at a care home, as footage showed the building completely engulfed by the blaze.

Axar.az reports, citing Daily Express, that the fire broke out on Friday night in Pitrufquen, Araucania Region of Chile.

General Miguel Herrera, head of the police in Araucanía, said "only ten people who lived in the nursing home were able to be evacuated . We must regret the death of 16 people, who are those who have been found by firefighters at this time."
