Four terrorists were killed and three Iranian intelligence forces were martyred in an operation targeting a terrorist team planning an assassination mission in Saravan, southeastern Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim News Agency, that according to a statement issued by the Quds Base’s public relations office on Saturday, the terrorist team was identified following a public tip and precise intelligence operations before being targeted at dawn on September 12.

The statement said the joint operation was carried out by forces from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Intelligence Ministry and the Law Enforcement Command in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Four terrorists were killed in the operation, while weapons, ammunition and explosives were discovered in the team’s hideout.

The Quds Base said the operation continued until before noon, adding that three members of the intelligence and security forces were also martyred.
