Georgia will not be able to open its borders to tourists from countries with high levels of coronavirus, including Armenia.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, on Pirveli TV channel.
According to him, Georgia will receive tourists primarily from "green" countries:
"Bilateral agreements with countries with minimal risk will be formalized. There are also certain procedures that a tourist must go through before visiting Georgia.
Note that Georgia will open its borders to foreign tourists from July 1. The neighbouring country initially intends to create "safe corridors" for mutual tourist visits with Israel, Austria, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
