One of the main advisers to the President of Afghanistan, businessman Mohammad Yusif Ghazanfar, died of pneumonia caused by a coronavirus.

Axar.az reports that Mohammad Yusif Gazanfar died in a hospital in Turkey.

Gazanfar was infected with the coronavirus in June. Although he was initially treated in Afghanistan, he was later taken to Turkey due to deteriorating health.

Mohammad Yusif Ghazanfar is an ethnic Uzbek. He was considered the "gray cardinal" of Afghanistan.
