We will lay down our arms if a Palestinian state is established.

Axar.az reports that Khalil al-Hiya, a high-ranking official of Hamas, said this in an interview with the Associated Press agency.

"We are ready for the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, and if this government is established, we will lay down our arms. The organization is ready for a truce for 5 years or more. If the conditions are met, the military wing of Hamas will be released," he said.
