Astana is ready to help the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia by creating conditions for negotiations.

Axar.az reports that Dauren Abayev, the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia, said this recently while commenting on the initiative of the country's president Gasim-Jomart Tokayev to hold a meeting between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Almaty.

"Of course, Kazakhstan is ready to help all processes related to peace. This is not only the issue of Russia and Ukraine, but also Armenia and Azerbaijan, Syria and Iran. The word mediation probably sounds very strong, but we are certainly ready to provide a platform and create any conditions," he said.
