Incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has won the August 9 presidential election with 82 per cent of the vote.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Central Election Commission of Belarus.

The CEC said that the votes were counted in 5 regions.

According to exit polls, Lukashenko won the election with 79.7 per cent of the vote.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has announced the preliminary results of the presidential election.

According to preliminary results, Alexander Lukashenko is the leader with 80.23 per cent of the vote. He managed to collect 4,652,000 votes.
