UAE, Israel agree to 'combat extremism'

Israel’s envoy to the UN Gilad Erdan agreed Wednesday with his UAE counterpart Lana Nusseibeh to fight extremism.

Axar.az reports that, Erdan said that he held his first meeting with Nusseibeh and they agreed to "promote a number of issues in the United Nations including combating extremism, empowering women and coronavirus."

The meeting included discussions on "cooperation between the two countries in order to expand the benefits of peace in the Middle East, in addition to the important opportunities for both countries and the entire region."
