Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to discuss the lifting of the blockade of Ukrainian ports.

Axar.az informs that the statement came from Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.

"Putin told me that the ports were closed due to Ukrainian mines. Of course, this was done to prevent Russian ships from attacking Ukraine. "On the one hand, it is important to negotiate to clear the ports of mines, and on the other hand, to prevent them from attacking at that time," Draghi said.

The prime minister said he wanted to talk to Zelensky to see if Ukraine was ready.

Draghi said he was waiting for millions of quintals of grain to be delivered to Ukrainian ports.

"But Putin told me that this is not enough to solve the food crisis," he said.

Earlier, Putin said he could lift the blockade of Ukrainian ports if political sanctions were imposed on Russia.

In the world, the food wheat crisis is deepening. Ukraine, one of the world's main wheat exporters, is at war, with millions of tons of its products unable to leave ports due to mining, Russia has banned the export of food wheat, and China and India have restricted wheat exports.

Russia is trying to make the most of this situation and lift the export ban
