The Russian garrison in Kharkiv was besieged - Girkin

The Ukrainian army launched a long-prepared attack on the Kharkiv front by striking the city of Balakleya.

Axar.az reports that Igor Gorkin, the former leader of "DPR" said this.

The forces from "LPR" and "DPR" protecting the defense of the city could not withstand the attack of the enemy. "Rosgvardiya", which is in the second echelon of defense, could not stop the enemy. "Last night, the Ukrainian army effectively surrounded the garrison in Balakleya and took the settlements of Volokhov Yar and Verbovka," Girkin said.
