Azerbaijan elected as a member of UNESCO committee

At the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference held today in Samarkand, Azerbaijan was elected as a member of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation (ICPRCP) for the 2025–2029 term.

Axar.az informs that Azerbaijan MFA posted on a social platform.

"This election is seen as a high appreciation for Azerbaijan's principled position towards the protection and restoration of cultural heritage and its active initiatives at the international level," the post noted.
