A "Great Sea Wall" will be built around Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
Axar.az reports that this is stated in the information of "Bloomberg".
It was said that thanks to this wall, the authorities hope to save Jakarta from flooding.
The Ministry of Economy of the country has announced that the construction of the barrier will continue until 2040 in three stages.
However, the Ministry of Defense says that the construction will take at least 40 years.
About 10.5 billion dollars will be spent on the first two stages.
It should be noted that Jakarta is recognized as the fastest-sinking city in the world. The city is under water due to the rising sea level every year.
