Venezuela is sending light tanks, patrol boats, and armoured vehicles to the border with oil-rich Guyana over the disputed Essequibo region.

Axar.az reports that the "Wall Street Journal" published information about this.

"Venezuela has been trying to annex parts of Guyana and seize control of one of the world's largest oil fields for more than a decade by moving light tanks, missile-equipped patrol boats, and armoured personnel carriers across the border," it said.

At the same time, Guyana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they were not surprised by the "bad intentions" of the Venezuelan authorities.
