A 5.6-magnitude earthquake occurred in Sulusaray district of Tokat city of Turia.

Axar.az reports that the Emergency Situations Management Agency of Turkiye (AFAD) released information about this.

The tremors that occurred at a depth of 5.99 kilometers were also felt in the surrounding provinces.

It was reported that after the first tremors, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 occurred.

Sulusaray mayor Davud Kılıch said that some houses and 2 mosque minarets were blown down in the village of Bugdayli

As a result of the earthquake, three houses collapsed in different neighborhoods of Yozgat city. One person was injured in Tokat during the natural event.

Rescuers and emergency medical teams were involved in the incident.
