The US recently permitted Ukraine to hit targets in Crimea with long-range ATACMS missiles.

Axar.az reports that the "New York Times" reported on this concerning high-ranking Chinese officials in the Pentagon.

"The Pentagon called the peninsula the Russian air and ground forces centre. Therefore, the purpose of strikes using ATACMS systems will be to put more pressure on Crimea," the information stated.

In addition, ATACMS can be used to strike behind the lines of the Russian army. The target of these missiles will be the Russian supply hubs in the southeast of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the US military aid package to Ukraine includes 300 km ATACMS missiles.
