Putin only recognized Rada as legitimate

According to the Constitution, the current President of the country, Volodymyr Zelensky, continues to be the legitimate leader of the country until the new president takes office.

Axar.az reports that these words were stated by the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, on his Facebook page.

Stefanchuk cited Article 108 of the Ukrainian Constitution:

"The President of Ukraine exercises his powers until the newly elected President of Ukraine takes office." This is a principle of the integrity of power in democratic societies. Zelensky will continue to be the legitimate president in the country until the next elections after the lifting of martial law."

It should be noted that earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, based on Article 111 of the Ukrainian Constitution, stated that currently only the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Stefanchuk, is legitimate in the country, and the term of authority of the Ukrainian President has expired.
