Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas has every chance to lead the foreign and security policy service in the new European Commission.

Axar.az reports that "Politiko" published information about this with reference to its sources.

In European diplomatic circles and in the EU, a general opinion about the candidates for the main positions in the leadership of the Union is already beginning to form: Ursula von der Leyen will remain as the president of the European Commission, and Robert Metsola will be elected for the second time as the president of the European Parliament. The former Prime Minister of Portugal, Antonio Costa, is considered as a possible candidate for the position of the head of the European Council, currently held by Charles Michel, and the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaya Kallas, for the position of the EU's top European diplomat, the source said.

It should be noted that Josep Borrell currently holds the post of the EU's chief diplomat.
