Virander Paul, India's ambassador to Ankara, has died.

Axar.az reports that the Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar published information about this on the X page.

“A great loss to the Indian Foreign Service. I have worked closely with him in many capacities. I have always admired his dedication and service and appreciate his many achievements," said the Indian foreign minister.

According to some reports, Paul, who was being treated for cancer, died in his country.
