The US is not in favor of inviting Ukraine to the next NATO summit in order not to irritate Russian President Volodymyr Putin.

Axar.az reports that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with "The Philadelphia Inquirer".

According to Zelensky, today Ukraine's membership in NATO is not supported by either the current President Biden or the US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

"We understand. The White House is open with us about this. We know the views of both sides, and this suggests that today not everyone sees Ukraine in NATO," Zelensky stressed.

However, the President of Ukraine, who pointed out that he does not support this policy of America, considered it a way back.

It should be noted that the 75th NATO summit will be held in Washington in early July, and Ukraine will also be on the agenda. Kyiv wanted to receive a political invitation to the Alliance at this summit, but the US has made it clear that this will not happen.
