The White House is wary of imposing sanctions on Russia, fearing it will raise oil prices and hurt Joe Biden's campaign.

Axar.az reports that according to the publication, the US Department of the Treasury proposed to impose new restrictions on Russian oil tankers, but the Presidential Administration has not yet made any decision on their application:

"Department officials want to decommission Russian tankers, but economic advisers in the White House worry that this will lead to higher oil and gasoline prices in the United States this summer. Because all this can harm Biden's election campaign."
