The Israeli authorities have not provided the United States with any guarantees that they will refrain from striking Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

Axar.az reports this, citing a senior official from the U.S. State Department via CNN.

"We hope for wisdom and restraint, but as you understand, there are no guarantees," the official said.

The U.S. official also emphasized that they are unaware if Israel has chosen October 7 — the anniversary of Hamas' attack on Israel — as the date for a potential strike on Iran.
