The aim of Israel and the U.S. is not only to push the resistance forces 10 kilometers away from the Palestinian border but also to disarm Hezbollah and elect a pro-American president in Lebanon to bring the country fully under U.S. hegemony. I believe that Israel and the U.S.'s far-reaching goals will not be realized and will face fierce resistance.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Lebanese political scientist Jamal Wakim in an interview with Armenian media.

He noted that the goal of the U.S. and Israel is to deprive Hezbollah of the support of important ally Iran, as well as to neutralize other Iran-affiliated resistance movements, such as those in Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq.

"For this reason, I believe that Iran is a part of this struggle and will not allow it. At the same time, the aim of the Israelis and Americans is to attack Lebanon to completely change the map of the Middle East and turn the region into a base for attacking Russia. The U.S. is already involved in the Ukraine war, conducting a proxy war against Russia, and therefore, the Russians will also participate in this conflict, which will last longer than expected."

He stated that the idea that the killing of Nasrallah or other leaders would lead to the disbandment of this movement is incorrect:

"Hezbollah has strong support in Lebanon; a significant portion of the Lebanese population supports the movement, and leaders killed within this organization are always replaced with new ones. This is because all members of Hezbollah know they may become martyrs at any time. Therefore, I believe this is just the beginning of the fight."

In his view, the ultimate goal of the U.S. and Israel is to bring the entire region under their control and turn it into a platform against Russia, Iran, and China:

"This is part of America's plan to remain in Eurasia and exploit its capabilities. When trying to understand the potential outcome of this war, this should be taken into account."
