Attempts by Israeli forces to establish a foothold in southern Lebanon during the ground operation have been thwarted.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Mahmud Kamati, a member of the Political Council of the Hezbollah movement.

"We prevented the enemy from crossing the border and establishing positions in the areas where the attack took place. Our army is ready for any ground assault," Kamati noted.
