The Hamas movement confirmed the death of Ihab al-Hussein, the Deputy Minister of Labor of the Gaza Strip.

Axar.az reports that a corresponding statement was published on the movement's Telegram channel.

"Hamas regretfully confirms the news of the death of Ihab al-Hussein, the deputy minister of labor of the Palestinian government," the statement said.

Hamas confirmed that al-Hussein was killed during Israeli shelling of Gaza City, adding that his wife and several daughters had died earlier in the enclave.

He held the position in question since 2020.
