A signature campaign has been launched for the dismissal of Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran.

It was reported that the number of Tehran residents who joined the campaign in a short period of time exceeded 75 thousand.

The signature campaign was launched due to Zakani's inability to perform his duties and violations of the law.

It should be noted that before the first round of the presidential elections, Alirza Zakani threatened Masoud Pezeshkian in a television debate and said that he would prevent him from winning. He later withdrew his candidacy in favor of conservative Said Jalili and Mohammad Bagir Ghalibaf.
