The government should conduct a detailed analysis and organize appropriate negotiations.

Axar.az reports that the President of Kazakhstan Gasim-Jomart Tokayev said this while commenting on the question of who will be involved in the construction of the nuclear power plant (NPP) if the decision is supported by the people as a result of the referendum.

"This is not an easy matter. Personally, I think that an international consortium, which includes leading global companies with advanced technologies, should operate in Kazakhstan. Life will show the next processes, as they say," Tokayev said.

It should be noted that a referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant is being held in Kazakhstan on October 6. If more than half of the citizens of Kazakhstan who have the right to vote participate, the referendum will be considered completed.

It should be recalled that there were reports that Russia wanted to build a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan. It was reported that Russian President Volodymyr Putin had a discussion about this with Kazakh President Gasim-Jomart Tokayev.
