Pilot killed in Mi-2 helicopter crash in Russia

An agricultural Mi-2 helicopter crashed about two kilometers from the village of Kalininskaya in Russia's Krasnodar region, killing the pilot.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that according to the regional branch of Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry, the helicopter went down while carrying out field spraying operations near the western outskirts of Kalininskaya.

The crash sparked a fire covering an area of about 20 square meters, which was quickly extinguished.

The pilot of the aircraft was killed in the accident.
