Ukraine’s forces in Kursk have a new strategy – to move quickly and encircle Russian troops.

Axar.az reports that David Axe, an analyst for “Forbes,” stated this.

“The Ukrainian tactical group led by the 95th Air Assault Brigade is cutting off the road passing to the right of Noviy Put and south of Vesyoloye. If the Ukrainians advancing toward the northeast of Noviy Put join other Ukrainian units in the main sector, they could potentially encircle thousands of Russians,” Axe said.

According to him, the local geography facilitates the Ukrainian army’s ability to encircle the Russian forces:

“The Ukrainian army has destroyed all the bridges across the Seym River, so the fate of all Russian troops south of the river depends on temporary pontoons or the narrow bridge over the city of Korenevo.”
