Russia is reportedly engaged in secret negotiations to supply the Yemeni Houthis with P-800 "Oniks" (Yakhont) supersonic anti-ship missiles.

Axar.az reports that it was stated by Reuters, the final decision on missile transfer has not yet been made, but talks are ongoing.

These discussions are facilitated by Iran, with representatives from Russia and the Houthis meeting twice in Tehran, and additional talks expected in the coming weeks. Allegedly, these missiles could heighten threats in the Red Sea and pose serious risks to U.S., European, and regional military vessels.

Notably, "Yakhont" missiles have the capability to destroy targets up to 300 kilometers away.
