A severe fire in a warehouse rented by the “Sadarak” shopping center located in the Garadagh district of Baku city has resulted in serious damage. The Azerbaijan Insurers Association has sent a request to 10 non-life insurance companies operating in our country regarding the incident. According to the official information we have received and to date, no property owners have received any applications from insurance companies regarding the incident.
Axar.az reports that this is stated in the information of the “Azerbaijan Insurers Association” (ASA) Public Union.
"It is possible to cover the losses of such events by insuring them before the event occurs with the types and products of compulsory real estate insurance, property insurance against fire and other risks, and compulsory civil liability insurance related to the exploitation of real estate applied in our country. In addition, we must emphasize that we recommend that fire safety regulations be followed in all properties, especially in such large commercial facilities, that preventive measures be taken, and that preventive steps be taken regarding any possible accidents," the statement said.
