Kylian Mbappe has been left out of Real Madrid’s travelling squad for the away El Clasico against Barcelona in La Liga Round 35.

Axar.az reports, citing Goal, Mbappe’s absence comes after a week of uncertainty at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the French forward initially expected to be available following recovery from an injury sustained against Real Betis. However, the coaching staff opted not to take any risks for the high-stakes fixture.

The striker had previously missed Real Madrid’s 2–0 away win over Espanyol due to a hamstring issue.

Barcelona currently leads the La Liga standings, with Real Madrid in second place. The teams have 88 and 77 points, respectively.

The match is scheduled to kick off on Sunday at 23:00. Barcelona could secure the league title if they avoid defeat in the upcoming encounter.
