Iran’s uranium stockpile being closely monitored

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Iran’s remaining enriched uranium stockpile is being closely monitored and warned that it could be seized “at some point,” amid ongoing tensions over Tehran’s nuclear program.

Axar.az reports, citing The New York Times, Trump stated that U.S. forces are monitoring the site where nearly bomb-grade enriched uranium is believed to be buried, adding that any approach to the location would be detected and met with force.

“If anybody got near the place, we will know about it, and we’ll blow them up.”

He also suggested that the United States could take control of the material in the future, while reiterating concerns over Iran’s nuclear capabilities and the ongoing negotiations aimed at ending the conflict.

The comments come as diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran remain stalled, despite a fragile ceasefire and continuing regional tensions.
