Iran doubles gasoline price

The Iranian government has raised the price of gasoline.

Axar.az, citing Iranian media, that under the new pricing system, Iranians can purchase 60 liters of gasoline under the first quota and an additional 50 liters under the second quota at 15,000 and 30,000 rials per liter, respectively.

The price of fuel purchased beyond these limits has been increased from 50,000 to 100,000 rials per liter.

The new price took effect on September 8.
