Poland ready to host more U.S. troops in Europe

Poland says it is ready to host additional U.S. troops in Europe as Washington considers redeploying around 5,000 soldiers from Germany.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski at the Defence24 Days conference in Warsaw.

Sikorski said Poland’s security interest lies in having as many American troops in Europe as possible, particularly on Polish territory. “The more on Polish soil, the better,” he said, adding that Warsaw’s priority is deployment in areas facing the most immediate threats.

He also noted that Poland remains committed to strengthening NATO’s eastern flank amid ongoing regional security concerns.
