Iran’s Supreme Leader issues new military directives

A senior Iranian military commander says the country’s armed forces are at a high level of readiness and have received new strategic directives from the leadership.

Axar.az reports that Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, presented a comprehensive report to the Supreme Leader on the readiness of Iran’s armed forces, including the army, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), law enforcement and border forces, the Ministry of Defence, and volunteer Basij units.

He added that Iranian forces are fully prepared in terms of combat morale, defensive and offensive capabilities, and required equipment to confront what he described as hostile actions by the United States and Israel, warning that any strategic miscalculation or aggression would be met with a “rapid and forceful response.”

According to Abdollahi, the Supreme Leader also issued new guidance aimed at continuing and strengthening measures to counter potential adversaries.
