All Turkish-owned ships safely leave Strait of Hormuz

Fifteen Turkish-owned vessels waiting in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf have safely departed the area.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu, that Turkiye’s Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said on Friday.

Uraloglu said the ships were carrying 99 Turkish personnel and that authorities had been closely monitoring developments in the region.

“We have continuously monitored developments in the region from the first moment in coordination with all relevant institutions,” Uraloglu said.

He added that three other Turkish-owned vessels in the Gulf did not request departure as they continued their commercial operations.

“Turkiye does not currently have any ships with an immediate request to leave the Persian Gulf,” the minister said.
