Katz fires back at Qaani, warns of consequences for Iran

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Friday issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying any attack against Israel would be Tehran's "biggest mistake."

Axar.az reports that, writing on X in Persian, Katz responded to remarks by Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani, who had said Israel would eventually be forced to withdraw from southern Lebanon if it did not leave voluntarily.

"The commander of the Quds Force, Qaani, has been constantly threatening Israel these days. It seems that the role of a spy and traitor suits him far better than these ridiculous displays of threats," Katz wrote.

Katz warned that any Iranian attack on Israel would have serious consequences.

"In any case, if the Islamic Republic attacks Israel, it will be making the biggest mistake in its history. Neither Hormuz nor attacks on civilians will help them. Nothing will stop us. Our forces are ready to finish the job," he added.
