Ukrainian drones launched a substantial attack on the Borisoglebsk airfield in Russia's Voronezh region overnight, targeting warehouses storing KAB precision-guided bombs and Su-34 and Su-35 fighter jets.
Axar.az reports that while the extent of the damage remains uncertain, satellite imagery indicated multiple fires in the area, and local authorities reported that air defenses intercepted 113 drones, with one individual injured and several homes damaged from debris.
This operation marks a continuation of Ukraine's strategy to disrupt Russian military capabilities, particularly targeting airfields that pose a threat to Ukrainian cities.
Despite restrictions on using Western-supplied long-range missiles for strikes inside Russia, Kyiv has maintained its campaign against critical military infrastructure, aiming to reduce the psychological and operational impact of Russia's aerial bombings on Ukrainian civilians.
