Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that she has a candidate for the post of prime minister without a political background.

Axar.az reports that Zurabishvili said this in an interview with "Pirveli" TV channel.

Zurabishvili did not reveal the name of the prime ministerial candidate, but noted that he will discuss his chosen candidate with the opposition parties, meetings with their representatives will begin on Monday.

Zurabishvili answered the question "Is he ready to become the prime minister of the country, has he thought about it?"

"I will not answer here about my opinion. I have a very good candidate. First, let's take a look! Nothing in life can be ruled out, this is a hard lesson I have learned over the years. I believe that today we are on the right path and we will continue on this path."

It should be noted that parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held on October 26.
