Cyprus submits plan to join NATO to US administration

The Republic of Cyprus has submitted a plan to join NATO to the U.S. administration.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Greek newspaper Kathimerini on November 24.

It is stated that the proposal for the island's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance was presented by Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides to his American counterpart Joe Biden during his visit to Washington on October 30.

The publication writes that the plan is detailed, well-thought-out, and designed for the long term, consisting of multiple interconnected phases.
