Turkiye’s intelligence agencies have detained 54 people on suspicion of links to the ISIS terrorist group.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

"54 individuals were detained during operations carried out in 18 provinces against the ISIS terrorist group," he said.

Yerlikaya noted that the detained individuals are suspected of being members of ISIS, providing assistance and shelter to the group’s militants, and conducting propaganda on social media. The prosecutor's office has opened a criminal case related to the arrests. A court decision has led to the detention of 20 individuals.
