The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan is studying the possibilities of increasing the supply to 20 million tons through the Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan oil pipeline.

Axar.az reports that Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said this.

"In 2024, it is planned to supply 1.5 million tons of Kazakh oil through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan. The prospects of increasing the supply on this route to 20 million tons per year are being studied," he said.

The minister noted that this route is currently one of the most promising directions, because both Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are interested in the development and systematic increase of the supply volume of Kazakh oil through this pipeline.

He emphasized that the possibilities of the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline, which has a transmission capacity of 5 million tons per year, and a possible supply volume of up to 3 million tons per year, are also being considered.
