A delegation led by Ms. Burcu San, Deputy Assistant Secretary General of the Alliance for Operations, visited our country as part of the scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan joining NATO's Partnership for Peace Program.
Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense.
Colonel Elchin Abdullayev, head of the International Military Cooperation Department, met with the NATO delegation.
At the meeting, the current situation regarding the implementation of obligations specified in the "Individualized Partnership Program" (ITPP) project, which is considered the main legal basis of cooperation with NATO, and the participation of our military personnel in international security missions were discussed.
Also, discussions were held about the preparation of various types of troops units declared by the Azerbaijan Army to NATO's Operational Capability Concept (OCC) Joint Force Community, and the contributions of our military personnel serving in various headquarters and structures of the Alliance within the framework of the Partnership Headquarters Concept.
During the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Jafar Huseynzade, the head of the Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO, it was emphasized that our country is a reliable partner of NATO, and detailed views were exchanged on the future prospects of cooperation.
