The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has thanked Turkiye's authorities for their assistance in arresting the perpetrators involved in the murder of Israeli rabbi and Jewish religious leader Tzvi Kogan.

Axar.az reports that according to a statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country extends its deepest condolences to the family of Tzvi Kogan. The UAE Foreign Ministry also expressed sincere gratitude to Turkiye's authorities for their cooperation in the arrest of the criminals.

Meanwhile, Turkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MIT) reported that three Uzbek nationals suspected of being involved in Kogan's murder were detained in Istanbul.

It is worth noting that Tzvi Kogan was both an Israeli and Moldovan citizen. After diplomatic relations were established between Israel and the UAE at the end of 2020, Kogan moved to Abu Dhabi. A representative of the "Chabad" religious movement, he was also an assistant to the chief rabbi of the UAE, Levi Duhman.
