Israel is constructing military outposts in Syria’s Golan Heights buffer zone.

Axar.az reports that this information was published by the Washington Post.

Satellite images obtained by the publication show more than half a dozen buildings and vehicles at a walled Israeli base near the village of Jubata Al-Khassab in the Quneitra Governorate.

Israel's army has also built an almost identical structure about 8 km to the south, with both outposts connected by new dirt roads leading to the Golan Heights.

Moreover, the satellite images revealed a cleared area a few kilometers south, which experts suggest to be the beginning of a third base.

Syria’s defense minister dismissed Israel’s actions as unjustified occupation and stated that the Iranian threat Israel claims to be concerned about no longer exists. The minister noted that the IDF is capable of protecting the country's borders from its previous positions.
