The American aerospace company Maxar Technologies has made the decision to limit Ukraine’s access to its satellite imagery.

Axar.az reports citing Militarny, several users of the commercial service, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed this.

The official explanation provided by Maxar’s administration to users was that the restriction was made “in response to an administrative request.”

In fact, the disconnection was due to a US government ban on sharing intelligence data with Ukraine.

Specifically, the administration of President Donald Trump, through the State Department, prohibited American companies and commercial services from supplying satellite data to Ukraine.

This restriction applies to both government and private users.
