Given the process of normalizing relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, necessary actions have been taken, and the process of selecting an ambassador is in its final stages.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, in response to a question about the latest status of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan and the process of appointing an ambassador to this country.

"Our relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan have always been within a normal and friendly framework," he noted.
