Next year, Azerbaijan will host the Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and will assume the presidency of the organization for the next two years.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiev during a discussion on the topic "The Rise of the Global South and the West: Azerbaijan's Role, Cooperation, and New Opportunities for Development" at an expanded meeting of the International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Milli Majlis.

The deputy minister also mentioned that Azerbaijan will host the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) next year:

"As seen, Azerbaijan's policy of prioritizing multilateralism is practically visible," he added.
