Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced the results of the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul.

Axar.az reports that he wrote about this on his X account.

"Today was an important day for world peace. As a result of intense diplomatic efforts, the Russian and Ukrainian delegations met in Istanbul with the mediation of Turkiye. As a result of the meeting, they agreed to exchange a thousand people from each country to strengthen trust. They also agreed to share with the other side in writing the conditions that would allow for a ceasefire. The parties also agreed in principle to meet again. As Turkiye, we will continue to make every effort to achieve lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine," he said.
